The Family Partners Adult Day Center

As you walk through the Family Partners Adult Day Center you will see participants actively engaged in stimulating activities and socialization; sometimes chatting in small groups, creating a craft, playing a game, discussing current events, exercising, listening to stories or watching movies, but always engaged in activities that encourage mental stimulation and bring enjoyment.

Most importantly, all participants in Family Partners’ programs are encouraged to do what they want to do, and what they feel comfortable doing. Our staffing ratio allows us to cater to the individual. We call this “a people centered approach to day services.” Each participant will become a part of our family – as his or her interests and skill sets allow, we encourage helping with meals, folding laundry, doing the dishes, assisting in activities, etc. to keep these self help skills active - just like at home. Keeping people busy with meaningful and helpful activities creates an environment that encourages doing what one likes to do. And assisting with daily activities brings meaning to life, and provides a sense of accomplishment.

Family Partners provides an exclusive and wonderful alternative to those who need minimal assistance with activities of daily living but want to keep some independence and experience a social setting that provides a bit of joy and a sense of fulfillment.

Set up to accommodate both male and female participants with memory loss, Family Partners has a comfortable home like atmosphere, complete with a fireplace and warm niches to play games and socialize with friends. Meals are prepared and served from a kitchen on the premises. There is even a place for attending to personal care, should that be needed. Here are some quick facts about our neighborhood program:

• Flexible hours of operation – 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday

• Client to staff ratio is based on delivering loving care and attention with our trademark person centered approach (1 to 8 direct staff to participant ratio)

• Limited capacity - In order to provide the best care and one-on-one attention, we limit our daily capacity to no more than 40 participants at a time

• Pick-up/Drop-off service – For those clients living within a 4 mile radius, we also offer a convenient pick-up and drop-off service (additional fee for service)
